Honda has many different styles of cars, SUVs, and trucks in their lineup. The Ridgeline is a pickup truck produced by the brand. The truck is one of two in the lineup, as the other is the Honda Acty mini-truck. The Ridgeline is built using a unibody frame and transverse-mounted engine. The first generation of the truck was produced from 2006-2014 and Honda reports that it was engineered using only 7% of the same components as other Honda vehicles. The engineers built the car with a “mission-specific” platform. They created a unique suspension design and the powertrain was calibrated and strengthened for heavier towing duties. The second generation shared the “global light truck platform” that had been featured on the third generation Honda pilot. The wheelbase was expanded, and parts were modified to allow the Ridgeline to be able to haul and tow. The truck received many different awards throughout the years, from the North American car of the year in 2006 and 2017 and the Best New Pickup in 2006 when it was introduced. When you’re making repairs or upgrades on your Ridgeline, be sure to use OEM parts for it. We sell genuine Ridgeline parts here on our site.
